Family Planning studies currently enrolling participants:
STAMP: STI self-swab Testing At the time of telemed Medication abortion Provision:  This study is evaluating the feasibility and acceptability of self-swab STI testing for patients who are obtaining medication abortion via telemedicine.  Patients who are seen via telemedicine for medication abortion are eligible for this study and will be provided more information about the study during the visit.

Topical Vapocoolant to Reduce Pain with Nexplanon Insertion: A Randomized Controlled Trial: This study is evaluating if a vapocoolant (a topical cooling spray, with no active drug ingredient) is effective at reducing the pain associated with lidocaine injection prior to Nexplanon insertion.  Patients are randomized to receive either the vapocoolant or a placebo. Eligible patients will be approached about the study at the time of their appointment.

Phexxi for Bacterial Vaginosis and Candida Vaginitis
The purpose of this study is to investigate how phexxi, the contraceptive, might change the vaginal microbiome in ways that are beneficial for people struggling with chronic bacterial vaginosis or candida vaginitis.

Closing the gap: Addressing Unmet Need for Maternal and Congenital Syphilis Testing in Hawaiʻi:  This study is evaluating the acceptability and feasibility of rapid (10-15 minute) syphilis testing for reproductive-age patients seeking care at the Hawai'i HOME Project clinics.
